Last time we had visited Virginia Beach we didn’t have a chance to stop a the Virginia Marine Science Museum. Only about 10 minutes from many of the main resorts its an hidden attraction that many may not think about visiting while at the beach.
It’s a fairly large facility with many exhibits such as sting rays, otters, seals and sand sharks. They also have a Loggerhead Sea Turtle Hatching, Rearing, Release and Tracking program. You are able to learn about the turtles and look at the babies they are raising. Outside there is a adventure park for ages 5 and up. In addition to all that they have a Sea Adventure program to go dolphin or whale spotting. We didn’t have the opportunity to do that so we will definitely be back.
